MISSION 2: SPACE FLIGHT SIMULATOR
Now that you have learnt how to live without gravity...you need to learn how to fly!
In this second mission you will use our flight simulator, we hope you don´t get sick! Use this website to travel: SOLAR SYSTEM SCOPE
And build your own solar system up to scale:
We have to reduce all their components sizes dividing the sun’s diameter and the rest of the planets’ by a factor of 1 thousand million. In this way, the sun could be a giantic beach ball, 1,4 metres of diameter. You might find the rest of the planets inside your fridge!
For example Neptune and Uranus could be the size of a lemon, 5 cm of diameter each. Saturne an orange (12cm), Jupiter could be the size of a grapefruit (14 cm), Mars of a pea (0,7 cm), Earth a hazelnut (1,3 cm), venus the size of a grape (1,2 cm)and Mercury will be a pepper ball (0,5 cm).
For distances in the solar system please note that 1cm is equal to 1 AU (astronomical unit)
You just need:
Scissors, cardboard, ruler, colour pencils, glue and black paint!!
Enjoy your solar system!!!
